Modular Medical Facility - Gambia, Africa
Transformodular was instrumental in the fabrication, documentation, and deployment of a modular medical facility in The Gambia, Africa.  Â
The modules were based on standard 8 foot by 20 foot ISO intermodal shipping containers, which are then manually expanded into approximately 400 square foot medical facilities upon deployment.  Â
This deployment consisted of two (2) modules connected by a vestibule (procedure wash and prep area).  One module was a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and one was an Operating Room (OR).  Â
These modules were designed to serve the critical dual-purpose of enabling everyday community-based care to underserved and under-resourced populations and being rapidly redeployed for emergency use. Â
